tonys logo 31 January 2019 - Three imminent events
Dear all,

The Chatty Craft Group. This Group are the ideal antidote to a freezing Monday morning with ice on the ground and road works everywhere. The next meeting is on Monday, 4 February in the Mission Hall between 10am and noon, and every Monday morning thereafter.
Drop in for just a chat and cup of tea, or to enjoy watching the arts and crafts being worked or even, dare I say it, to have a go yourself. They will be very pleased to see you and make you feel at home.

SPAM. The gentlemen of Spam will be gathering in the Springhead at 8pm on Monday, 4 February to put the world to rights over a bevy or two. To boost the possible attendance I should perhaps declare that unfortunately I cannot be there. Otherwise I could have discussed with fellow rugby lovers in the group the Welsh victory over the French and the English defeat by the Irish this weekend. But if football, or any other sport, hobby or activity is your thing, there's bound to be someone else in the group that shares it.

The Sutton Poyntz Women's Institute. The SP WI will be meeting in the Mission Hall on Wednesday 6 February between 2pm and 4pm. The speaker on this occasion will be John Willows, who we all know best as the (semi-) retired curator of the Waterworks Museum. However this time his talk is entitled "Postcards and why I collect them". I have heard John speak many times and he is always very interesting and informative, so those attending are in for a treat. Do make a point of dropping in; you are sure of a warm welcome as a regular member or guest.

Regards
Chris
