31 March 2025 VE-day 80th celebrations
Yes, the village has registered to participate in the nationwide celebrations on Thursday May 8th 2025. (see picture below)
You can see what everyone else is doing on the VEday website here - but in Sutton Poyntz there'll be bell-ringing at the Church, and we'll be doing a fish-and-chip supper in the Mission Hall, a little Quiz (guess the theme?!) and then a walk up to the Beacon for some flames and some bubbles!
It'll have to be a ticketed event as we have to order food, but no details yet - watch this space!
